Phamster, I love that shot in the aisle of the church!

What lighting setup did you use for the ones outside?

it is so simple you won't believe it..

outside shots..

1 - speed light 430EX2 triggered cactaus v4 @ 1/16 power, subject back camera right..
2 - 1 alien bee 1600 @ 1/16th power , with beauty dish , about 15 feet aways..

that is all.. easy and simple but still some work to tug around, especially for a wedding.

Did you use a diffuser for the 430? There are some highlights on their (sweaty?) faces.

if you are talking their faces (left side) probably because of the bare flash.

if you are talking about directly in front of them.. like what the alien bee lit up..

probably sweaty faces.. but the beauty dish does that too.. makes contrasty light.

i drugged the group out of the dance part and made them do this photo.. i am sure they were like "suck" more photos.. but the bride was like " lets do it, NOW"...

today i am sure she is very appreciative of me tugging them out.. these will last a life time.

Here is some recent work with the 5D MKII. I have had it less than a week, and yes I LOVE it!

QUOTED IMAGE

I just imagined Chuckie in place of him. Creeeeeeepy. Good shot, though.

Another sorta commercial shot presented as a triptych. Single strobe reflected off a diffusing panel, a slice of lemon, and lots of splashing.

Man, this entire thread is simply bursting with first class examples of this wonderful camera, and I hasten to add, some mighty fine examples of first class talent. It's at the stage where you almost feel rude not commenting on everything.

I really like this^^ and was inspired to try and do something similar myself, until it dawned on me no one is around to drop something into the glass! I can amaze even myself sometimes

Anyway, some lovely sunlight hit the garden just now, so I got playing with tight apertures and the lovely colours:

I put that picture in the same wood frame and mounted it on that same mantle with all of the other frames. So a picture of my son coming out of the frame, on the mantle, with a picture of my son coming out of the frame, on the mantle.....I could just keep going.... like when you put two mirrors together....infinity.

Haha Jahled, thanks! Well, I'm kicking myself at the moment because I wanted to take a picture of the setup but I forgot to.

I was dropping the lemon myself, haha. I basically sat on a couch, tripod and camera right in front of me, stool and glass in front of that, and diffuser behind. The glass was just at the end of the reach of my arm, and timing the shots was quite difficult, besides cleaning. You could do it with some exertion and twisting. My arm ended up all trembly (darn, I need to exercise).
