u managed to get a new 5Dmkii replacement?

I did the focus test and found that it was dead on accurate. I think the bigger issue was the DOF at close range at F4 and the combo of the FF sensor. Just a learning curve issue, which I've figured out. Thanks for all your help.

Man I just rented the 35L over the xmas period and that along with 5DmkII is an awesome combo, I think if I owned it, it would be my favourite lens, really nice and sharp at f1.4 too. If anyone here is thinking about getting it just do it :)

Anthony, it's quickly becoming my favorite lens on the 5D2. I can't seem to take the damn thing off.

It just seems to be the perfect FL for me. It's wide, but not too wide and I never really enjoyed the 50mm, always seemed too close.

I'm jealous you have it! I had the 50mm f1.4 and that thing was slow focussing and loud too. So I was curious to see how the 35L performed. It amazed me. The contrast, bokeh color everything was stunning. Its a great all purpose lens I think. Like you say perfect length and that with iso 1600 and f1.4 you can get amazing low light results.
I have money saved for a new mattress....must not be tempted!

Lol thanks man. Well I have a shoot on the 12th but then i have to wait until they're published which will be in a month, then I'm off to LA for a few cars but I have to wait for it to be published again.

There is a evo in my complex I want to shoot but its hard to catch him, I need to leave a note. Actually I know someone who is restoring a 1920's ford. Ill e mail them now!

I cant believe the pictures this machine takes in such low light. Its mind boggling, compared to my 40D. Even at the same ISO and Aparture as the 40D im getting faster shutter speeds. CRAZY!!!
