Looks like a Komodo Dragon. I understand they can be quite dangerous. Was this near the ocean? It looks like a coastal tide pool area perhaps.
Nice job. Photography doesn't usually involve so much adreneline for most of us.

Low tide on a mud flat, it's a funny perspective when looking in the viewfinder you feel like your practically stepping on it. I think this was the "don't follow me anymore" look, that's why I got out of there. Read they can run at up to 20mph.
