Gareth -- those shots of the kids are fantastic. Were they shot with the 85L?

Mine arrived on Friday! Not sure I have the ability to get the best from this beast, but hey.

Here are just a few quick contrasting snaps....I now need to read the instruction manual.....

I love these types of threads!! You guys (and gals) have posted a lot of excellent photos. Here are several of mine shot today with 24-105mm. Not a whole to shoot around here, but that should change as the weather warms up.

yah! my first 5d mkII picture posted! I've been so excited to show something that I covered so much this weekend and ended up staying up for 2.5 days and getting sick. :*(, but it was worth it. Best toy ever. n64 comes in close as 2nd though...

^That looks like a volcano!

Hmmm, I found one of those Volcanoes today by accident... Mt. Asama blew ash on Tokyo last week and today I could see it smoking as I was driving back from Nagano. So I took a drive to see how close I could get. Nobody else was around and I was starting to get worried, like did I miss a roadblock? Unfortunately... a cloudy day.

And a few miles from that mountain, I also found Shiraito Falls
