Hastily snapped at Hayling Island today in miserable light, so not the best images.
There has been a group of people armed with cameras & binoculars standing by the side of a main road, watching this fellow up a tree.
I've never seen one before, but instantly knew what it was as soon as I spotted it.

Keep an eye out for ringed birds, Aberedeen had very large flocks some of which were ringed. Found one in Northumberland last week. This is a canny capture.

Thanks all.
This one (sadly, seems to be on it's own) is in the middle of the high street (as it were), the twitchers have been here for the past few days taking pics of it, and I just had to nosey my way down to see what it was all about - as soon as I saw it from the car I knew I had to go grab my own camera and see if I could get it.
Not rare in the UK from what I can gather, but certainly a new one around these parts for me - I certainly have never seen one, and a shame that it became dark n drizzling with rain at the time - would have loved to have got some perfect colourful shots (as some have done).
No work on the pics as such, I just wanted to grab some shots and clear off before I got recognised by friends and be called a " Twitcher".:oops:
