Picked her up Sunday. I thought the leaves made a good backdrop. Wish my neighbor's car wasn't in it though. I am going to shoot some more this Sunday when I have the time...

Thanks guys! I agree, I am not a fan of any TL's look but this generation. New ones are U_G_L_Y. I am loving it so far. I have had two Accords and figured it was time to step it up. She sure is fun though!

BTW_ She's a 2004. I wanted a 2006 but I found this one with super low miles in great shape, certified and they threw in a 100k/7 yr bumper to bumper. so I am covered until October 2010 (It will have 100k on it by then).

Funny thing is I always just looked at TLs like loaded Accords. Not even in the same galaxy. TL is WAY better in every aspect. This is the funnest car I have ever owned for sure. I like it way more than my Dad's G35 too...

jwcdds- NICE shot man! Is that HDR I assume? I can't wait to take it out Sunday evening for some shots after I wash, clay, and wax her up really pretty. Is yours an '08? I like the taillights...

Yeah, it's an '08. I picked her up at the end of August. And the image is indeed an HDR shot. I used like 6 images (I'm sure it was overkill). It was my first attempt at HDR and I had no clue what I was doing. Merged it in photochop, tweaked the curves a bit and this was what I came up with. :D

Hope the weather complies and that you get some good shots of your car!

Looks like a very nicely done HDR. Not overdone at all. I was just wondering since the back end of the car was properly exposed even with the sunset. I guess the only other way to do that would be VERY soft lighting??? Either way, nicely done. What version of PS were you using?

Thanks!

I'm choppin' with CS3. Sadly, though, I know less about how to use Photoshop than I do about taking pictures. I did a little bit reading on HDR and I think I finally see the potential in it. My personal preference is to keep it as subtle as possible. Some people go for the all-out cartoony effect, which I personally don't subscribe to. I want to aim at mimicking what my eyes see exposure wise.

The HDR merging process is rather impressive (all done via photochop's automated process). I have a cheap tripod so I didn't realize when I took my images (at various exposures), that there was slight movement between some of the shots. But PS merged and aligned them perfectly. :D

Nice! I was thinking about getting Photomatix for these. I agree, I would use it only to capture what my eyes see. Not a fan of the cartoon look.
