Radio flash trigger for compact P/S

I like messing around with my new A590 :) Coming from DSLR, the weakest link for the A590 is the flash, too weak and too slow to recycle. So I clobber together a trigger set so I could use external flashes.

I use a optical slave to pick up the build in flash (in manual mode), the slave sensor triggers the eBay radio transmitter.

I could also place the trigger on the stand and face the camera, when I don't need the trigger mounted with the camera.

BTW, both pics were shot with compact cams, lit by my two EX flashes.
