That's great to hear that he is satisfied. That's always a tough situation: if the 'client' wants something that may not match your idea of creative expression, then it can leave you feeling like "it's not my shot". But then, that is part of why of I do not do this "for hire". As Kirk Voclain says, "beauty is in the eye of the checkbook holder".
Well thankfully, not every client is like that and in truth, I actually had fun with the shoot as I worked with the client in a very productive way and I was happy with the results too, not just him. But, yes, shooting for money does take on a different "on the job mindset" and you will be under pressure to do what is asked of you. That's much of the reason that I shy away from shooting weddings...that's too stressful for me right now but maybe in time, as my confidence grows, I might feel OK to do those too?
