I'm wanting another battery for mine. Anyone have a recommendation on where I should pick one up? Any specific brands I should avoid?

d.

Lenmar brand is good and recommended by many members. I've used Diamonds brand before too and was happied with it.

Try the Delkin--higher capacity and good fit. The Lenmars also come recommended, but their capacity is just the same as the OEM.

Good stuff, Bradfordguy! And glad to see you get the seller to come down a bit as we suggested!

Airbutchie, Nice lens! I love my 50L also...very versatile and wicked in low light situations at 1.2!

Cheers!

Spent the night painting my daughter's room so haven't had time to even tinker with my new toy. Man is thing built like a brick! Do you guys wear steel toed shoes in case you drop em? LoL !! Seriously this thing is impressive to hold and fire. Can't wait to put it to work. Also realized how well my 24-105L now works with this. Know I made the right decission in trading the 17-55 for it. Geez it feels like Xmas all over

So far, so good... No back and/or front focusing issues (wide open)... Focusing speed is definately a bit faster compared to my 85L (mk1)... But that's to be expected... Anyhoo, I'm sure I'll put it on its paces on my upcoming vacation, e-sessions, and wedding gigs in the upcoming months... Thanks for asking, Jeff...
