I don't have many time to go play outside with the new toy, so this is one of the first bird shot with the my new 50D and 400mm f5.6 (100% crop). This is not my best shot but at least I have one to test the camera potential for birding. Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the new camera. This is a beautiful shot and I have my eye on the 50D to match up with the 500L. Your 50D looks like a great match for the 400.

thanks for your input, I know I guy who shoot with the 800mm f5.6 and the 50D, amazing shot, better than the 400 f5.6, but this a piece of glass from an other class.
I do a mistake for the first picture, this is the 100% crop

That crop holds up great detail Avan, a real good shot and nicely exposed.

Never seen a banded Chickadee.

Thanks all, The first image are already a crop from the original, on the second one at full resolution, you can read easely the writingr on the banding, that's pretty detailed. Unfortunatly for photograpy, at this place close to all bird ar banded. The more I use the camera, the more I like it.

Very nice shot. First time I have seen a band on a chickadee. The 50D is an excellent birding camera.
