I was in Vietnam about a month ago and saw quite a few different decides to the fascinating country. Early on during the trip, I was luckily enough to stay with a really great family in a home stay at a village near Mai Chau. Here are some shots of the kids.

Great shots! Love the grainy feel they have.

Nice shots, I think the first one is the nicest with a quiet dramatic lighting accentuated by the monotone conversion.

Thanks for the comments!

Its a great place to visit and you are right its cheap. I would recommend doing finding a good tour company that will do home stays as this was one of the highlights of my trip. I found Northern Vietnam a bit more interesting and less developed than the south.

my sister was in vietnam a few months ago. i think she spent most of her first week in the toilet :) but wouldn't budge because she enjoyed the food that much lol

i like the first two images :) there's a photojouno feel to them, and i don't mind the higher key of the second photo. i think you're probably better off doing the last in monochrome as well - i do like the combination of colours, but the lighting there is gorgeous for another b/w
