Poses are nice, although I think #2 would be better with more arm, elbow, and shoulder in the shot. But, the biggest problem I see here is the overly photo shopped skin. Even the creases at his knuckles are blurred. Back off on the skin smoothing and I think you've got some nice photos.

IMO the arm and hand in #1 is distracting, it draws attention away from the face. I agree with Rascalphoto on #2, I'd back off on the skin it looks fake.

I have to agree with the rest about the skin processing. Also they are way too OOF. I would schedule another appointment with him and use a tripod.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

I think the shots are both nice but your could ditch the skin softening altogether. It's not a good look for men. Can we see them without the PP?

Yes. They do look OOF and WAY too much PP, even in the second one, but that's just my opinion...

Agree with the others looks like Ken (barbie's hubby).
I agree you should post the original pic so you can get a better feedback.

Color correct them, then very gently treat the skin -- The more subtle, the better.

I agree with everyone else so far. The skin is to soft and makes the portrait look out of focus. Since it is a senior portrait I would just retouch out his acne and call it a day.

I agree, nice poses, just way too much on the processing.
