Hows the file structure for it?

I prefer to name and arrange all my folders myself thru windows explorer, where LR1 would put everything where ever it wanted and what not.

I tend to sort my files by date, then seperate them based on how I want to process them from there.

I do the bulk of my adjustments from DPP and do any fixing in CS3 from there. Im thinking about giving LR2 a try tho, as it has some controls that DPP lacks and I like some features, I just couldnt get past how files were handled.

Basically my workflow involves filtering out junk shots in zoom browser, adjusting exposure and such in DPP and occasionally CS3 for PP but I think that lightroom may be more productive for me over CS3. CS3 was a great tool for me when I was doing modeling (3d, texture creation etc...) and web design, but not so much for photography.

There is an option to import files from where they are, without copying them to a new directory structure. It's nice too because once you add your top level photo area, you can browse your whole pre-made directory tree from within Lightroom.

you can use the folder panel in LR just like you would in explorer. you can create new folders, delete folders and move photos between folders.

This is one of my favorite features of LR2. LR1 had the same thing but it still put a copy of the photos in the LR catalog so you catalog got really big really fast. LR2 just puts a thumbnail in the catalog and your catalog is smaller and loads much faster.

I really hate to contradict you - but that hasn't actually changed since at least 1.0, if not the previous betas. The wording changed though!
