3 days ago my 50D body arrived which i purchased from ebay. I was about to buy a lens for my body tomorow (28-135 USM).

Just 1 hour ago i was playing around with the settings with my 50D and i had to go quickly do something so i rested the 50D above my stair case (this small place where i keep my dogs toys. So when i was in my kitchen i hear this loud bang. I look around nothing, i come back 40 sec after for my camera and its gone, i look down and its destroyed. I have hard wood floor in my house and the camera is just totally DESTRYOED. My dog must have pushed it off when he was trying to get one of his toys or something, but im not mad at him :)

This is considerd my fault so canon will not give me a new one, nothing i can do about it...

So, i am wanting to buy another 50D soon AGAIN... I don't feel like spending as much as i did with this just happeng. Is it possible i can get a good deal on the internet?

I have been looking on live search for 30 min and couldn't find any ebay (30% off ebay) sponsor links for the 50D. So i guess this cashback thing is over? if not let me know what i did wrong, or any other sites i can get a good deal from.

Thanks.

I would try sending it to Canon and seeing if they can fix it.

Your household contents insurance should cover you for this, it doesn't hurt to ask.

That will be impossible, everything is garbadge. the body is cracked open, the lcd is cracked, the inside parts feel out and broke, its garbadge.

Get some accident insurance next time, its pretty cheap considering the investments we put into gear!

Ugh, Sorry Marcel. That's just too bad. Expensive lesson learned. :(

homeowners insurance should cover it. you should try that first.

you can get one on E-bay new for around 887.00. use livesearch and its now 20% LSCB on ebay "BUY IT NOW" purchases. Cameta Camera has them on ebay for 1087 w/ free shipping. you will then get 200.00 LSCB in 60 days.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but to be honest, dog didn’t breake you camera, he/she just broke his/her new toy.
As mentioned before, home insurance is the answer..

Bummer, Sorry to hear about that. If it makes you feel better I feel off a rock and knocked my tripod with my 40D and 400mm5.6 on it. :( I broke the focus on the lens and it cost me to get it fixed.

That sucks :(.

Now I know this sounds perverse - but any chance you can post a pic of the damage?
