I wonder...did he chew the 'squeek' out of it first? Mine have always done that with their toys. Maybe he was he trying to get the "shutter click" out of the toy. :D

That's why dogs like balls, you don't need thumbs. :)

I know at least 10 people have already asked this.
But please tell me you took a picture of it. We would all like to see.

Or at least explain what happened to it. LCD popped out or cracked...etc.

I think this would one of the only times I'd cry in life...
Just reading the story made me cringe. But I must give you mad props. You sound very calm about it and that is a great attitude to have if nothing can be done about it!

I don't know if anyone suggested, killing the dog or giving it away but, after something like that, I'd consider it a liability.

No pets, unless it's in a cage or bowl.

That's strange.. The magnesium body should be stronger than that. How far did it fall? I've taken a 30D and dropped it on the road and only the side has been a little scraped. It's weird that the 50D smashes to bits from a distance of less than 5 feet (assuming you didnt have it on a top shelf of a counter anyway).

I'd still try out the warranty or something, because the body SHOULD withstand that impact.

Worth a try.

But even still, I would've taken pictures of it before I sold it!

Even if I didn't share them with anyone, it'd be something I'd want to look back on. haha.

Lets hope the OP did take some.
He never responded to anyone if he did or didn't.
