Okay, so I did it. I peeked at my Christmas gift.

Actually, I pulled it out of the box today and played with my Christmas gift and I feel absolutely no remorse about it.

As some of you know, I ordered and received yesterday a Canon SX10 that is a gift for myself and my wife for Christmas. My wife likes the idea of getting the camera but I haven't told her I actually got it -- Surprise!

When the UPS guy dropped it off yesterday I immediately took it into another room and opened the box just to make sure everything was there. My initial intention was to just gift wrap it as-is and put it under the Christmas tree, but the temptation to open and play with my, I mean our, new toy was just too great.

So I got it out again tonight, went into the bathroom and locked to door behind me and opened the box. I inserted the batteries and put in an SD card that I have and started taking pictures and video of the entire bathroom. It worked like a charm and will be a lot fun to use beginning Christmas morning. Now I just need to delete all the many pictures of the bathroom floor, walls, toilet, ceiling, ceiling fan, door and door handle, and everything else in between.

It's going to be great.

That was hilarious. I know how you feel... I've been playing with the G9 cameras I got for my cousins.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Err, I wasn't actually using the facility other than to "test" the camera in private. I do use that room for other business, however.;) Take care.

I once bought a camera from Fry's that was obviously a return from another customer... they had used the built-in memory and it still had pictures of their family and kids on it. I'm glad it wasn't a return from you and your facilities.
