Chris Alvanas, the Director of Photography at CDIA (the school I attend) in Washington, DC has decided to start a DC Shooter Group (it's not restricted to DC only, everyone from MD and VA are also invited).

Here is a link to the blog he has started and with enough participation, we can all make this worthwhile for all photographers with all levels of experience.

Chris has more information since he will be in charge of all of this. I would send him an email at calvanas@cdiabu.com (external link). Let him know you're interested and would like more information.

From what I gather, once the group is formed, we will meet at CDIA in Georgetown since we have access to the studio. But he said if it gets too large then we'd have to find a different location to have meetings. Like I said, he can give you more concrete information. I'm just helping spread the word to get a buzz going.

I'm interested in this if it's still in the works.
