Hi all,
My laptop recently died on me (motherboard failure). I've been using this laptop for editing with and is where I used lightroom. My question is since I need to use my desktop, but I did all my edits on the laptop is it possible to transfer the edit files with the photos and import them into lightroom on the desktop. If so where would I find said edit files.

Thanks,
Johnsoir

Take out the hard drive copy it over to you desk top using a device called a drivewire. All your edits will be available.

So yes, once you've rescued the image files and the lightroom catalog (*.lrcat) and put them on your desktop, it's just a case of double clicking on the LR catalog and if it queries where the image files are now, you just point it back in the right direction.
