Question about Wacom Intuos3

I was looking to getting one but have a couple questions
1. As of now I dont use a wide screen so would getting the 6 X 11 be a waste over the 6 X 8
2. Factory Refurbished is it worth saving $100-$150

6 X 11=$369.95
6 X 11 Refur=$219.95

6 X 8=$298.95
6 X 8 Refur=$209.95
