Can you give a link to that sound trigger? Every camera has shutter lag-- the delay between the camera being trigger and the actual shutter firing. So I think it's better to put the trigger on the flash rather than to the camera.

What exactly are you trying to achieve with the sound trigger? If you're trying to just actuate the shutter release by, say, clapping your hands, then that'll work and the built-in flash will fire when the shutter is open, assuming that it's popped up.

If what you're trying to do is capture a high-speed action image the instant a sound is produced, such as a balloon popping, then triggering the camera is not going to do it. Because of the shutter lag time, the "action" will be over by the time the camera shutter is open. You'll need an external flash that is triggered directly by the sound. The camera will need to be in Bulb mode and the room darkened.
