Not a very impressive review of this lens. There was problem with the first copy he received.

I noticed the shot comparisons; looked terrible.

Surely, they'll do better.

For a lens that expensive and well constructed, you would think the QC could be better. This is disappointing indeed.

Disappointing indeed. However, I would reserve judgement until he has had a chance to test another lens. Plus, manual focusing correctly AND consistantly is HARD. Different people may get considerably different results.

I live in hope.

I'm confident that something was wrong with his copy there -- I've been watching for Zeiss in an EF mount for a while, drooling over the IQ......

I'm in for the WA version for landscapes.

Reviewing a manual focus lens without a focusing aid is not a good review.
