YOUR first L lens?

Just ordered a 400 f/5.6L today, it will be my first L when it gets here on Thursday!

Yep, birds and other wildlife mainly.

1 year after I got my frirs DSLR the 400D, I replaced it with my 40D, and with the 40D I purchased the 70-200 f/4 IS L USM.

Whad did I sacrifice?!
A used car, that I did NOT buy, becuase I purchased the lens

100-300 5.6 L

when i got my 7d back in 2010 i was looking for a good all around l-lens it was the 35 1.4 looking back though i paid way to much for it!but this lens is out standing,it has been a good starting point for my kit.

Just picked up a 24-105L. Now to find a suitable replacement for my EF 70-210 F4 from 1988 Would love to get the 70-200 2.8 IS mkII, but that will have to wait.

Looking to make the switch to full frame with a Canon 6D and maybe a 17-40L would be in order also.

I too just picked up a 24-105L....2 actually. Oops! Once they both show up looks like I'll do a quick turnaround sale on one of them.

Now eyes forward to next L...135L look out!

Search for the 80-200/2.8 L "Magic Drainpipe". No IS, and does not work together with the Canon 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters (but with some third-party ones), but it DOES have f/2.8 at below f/4.0 price

Had that lens, it got stolen, now looking for new one....

I bought 17-40 and 70-200 II together

quickly sold 17-40 for 16-35

Took me a while (although I have rented) but just recently got a 70-200 F4L (non-IS) and it is a cracking lens (and so cheap s/h).

A year after my first dslr bought the 70-200mm F4L USM sold that one then bought it back

It would seem to me that the three telephoto zooms that you have do the same job. Do you use them all?

I got a 24-105 f4 to replace the 28-135 in my 50d few years ago. Complimented it with a 70-200 f4 non is. Now upgraded to a 7d. Still working great thinking of adding a wide either a 16-35 or 18-35 I need a 2.8 or a 1.8 lol my 50 is not enough anymore.
