70-200 mk ii was your first lens? Wow... I wish I had the cojones to pull that off!

Yep, I just got into this hobby (daughter's indoor swimming is the main driver) and I followed a friend's advice on what to get for my needs. The 70-200 f2.8 II and 24-70 f2.8 are my first and only lenses to date, and I love both of them. Currently replenishing the money tree to eventually get a couple more goodies.

Cheers,
Laurent

50L was my first, but I returned it (and another copy) after having focus shift issues beyong F2 up to F4 around MFD. My real first L glass was 35L - pure joy.

After wrecking my back at work i got into Photography. Bought my 100-400L a month after my 40D so i didn't have to walk too far to get my bird shots. I didn't put that lens down for months. I still love it as much as my wife (sorry dear):D

Got stuff ;)

200L f/2.8 V1. Great on full frame & crop for "stolen" portraits, animals... Maybe I will exchange it with a 70-200mm but its compactness & IQ are really advantages.

Mine was a 24-105mm and I purchased it at a pawn shop for $550.00. It was a great deal. That was a year and a half ago. Now I have seven and another is on order. It is very addictive. Kinda like women and shoes.
