My TL in HDR (Overdone)

Decided to give a few tries at HDR today. I overdid these on purpose in order to play with settings and stuff. usually I don't like them to look like a painting, but I think they came out cool in this case...

Parking lights on (4 exposures)

Ah, the absolute best years for the TL - pre MMC 3rd generation. 2nd shot is my favorite.

It's really a shame what Acura has done with the '09 :'-(

Yeah- I wish I have framed number one a bit lower since I like the lights.

And I agree, can't stand the new TLs. Gone from one of the best looking sedans on the road, to one of the worst. Inside sure is nice, and performance rocks, but dang I can't get past the outside looks. I guess I am shallow... HAHAHA

They draw my eye to them which is not a bad thing, except that that part of the car is looking not so sharp. Fix that & it will look much better.
Then, next time, MOVE YOUR FEET! A <rant> of sorts.

PhotosGuy... I tried to move my feet, (and the car), but believe me, there were too many cars/phone poles, etcc... to avoid reflections. I scouted out another spot that I am going to maybe this evening for my next round though... Thanks for the tip! About it not being sharp enough, I used f/11 and I think since I was so close to the car (shot was at 17mm) that was still not enough DOF. I will try tonight at f/16 to see what happens...

BTW_ I have read almost all of your posts and have learned a tremendous amount from them. Thanks for the helpful posts!

In that case, this is a good idea: "I scouted out another spot that I am going to maybe this evening for my next round though."

At 17mm, f/11 should be fine. Are you sharpening after resizing? Try USM 100 0.8 1

Thanks for the tip. Will have to try again tomorrow. Had the ISO at 800 tonight, which I think must be a no-no for HDR (It was really dark with shutter times ranging from 2" to 30" to get correct exposures). Tomorrow she goes to the Acura dealer for a check up so when I pick her up I'll shoot some more.

Will try the USM. No sharpening applied in any of these...
