A few weeks ago I bought an A590 off of amazon.com. This past weekend I was taking some pictures and noticed on the display screen some vertical "jigggly/flicker" lines that would appear and disappear fairly quickly. This would only happen while I was framing a picture prior to taking a shot. For the most part this did not happen very often but the flickery vertical lines seemed to appear most when the camera caught the light of the subject and, like I say, they'd show up for a few moments then disappear. They don't show up on the taken picture. I've brushed if off as not important but I guess I could be wrong. I really don't want to mess with sending the camera back to Amazon unless it's a real glitch in the camera. What do you think?

Pinkish lines off the highlights? That seems to happen on LCDs a fair bit. As you've seen, it doesn't affect the pictures.

"Pinkish'? Yes, I guess -- I can't remember exactly but the lines are colored. The first time I noticed it was Saturday night while I was trying to take some outdoor pictures of our house with the Christmas lights on. I've never seen anything like this before on the LCD screens of other point and shoot cameras I've had in the past (Canon G6 & Nikon Coolpix), but those LCD screens were fairly small compared to the screen on the A590. I figured it was just just normal video flickering but then I saw it again while taking some indoor pictures yesterday in a well-lit room with some large windows. It seemed like the camera would do it when the lens caught the bright light coming in from those windows. It doesnt affect the pictures but I hate to see it become a serious problem with the LCD screen that could get worse.
