Everything shot with a Lensbaby Composer at F2.0

This was just for some fun. :)

Well, I applaud the experimental effort. I'm always interested in different looks, but I humbly think you need to experiment some more. Get a more interesting subject and you might be on to something.

#3 is almost perfect! I love the shot of the play progressing! Great effect!

I agree with evizzle. #3 Is a solid shot and the lensbaby composer actually gives a different look to the shot. Where it doesn't work is the crowd and celebration shots. The celebration shots might work with a tighter composition, but with so much empty space the effect is kind of lost. #6, where you were trying to have the mascot in center, is another shot that might have worked in tighter because it would have given more distinction to the mascot from the background. As it was executed, you can't really make out the mascot from the rest of the crowd too easily.

I applaud the effort and thought, but I still don't get the allure of these lenses. I am not quit sure what the effect is trying to add. Any insight into why you decided to go this rout. I really am curious. I am trying to break out of my own rut I find myself in, and often have issues seeing things in new ways.

I gotta agree with ^^

I would be interrested to see what you could get from ice-level after using a 90mm T&S, just to see the comparison between the 2 lenses

Oh just to clarify I was just shooting from the crowd. They don't allow DSLRs in to the game and I'm not the type to smuggle stuff in but I knew no one would care if I brought this little toy in to play with. ;)

I think a 90mm T/S would be fantastic at ice level!

I would have much preferred not shooting wide open but I forgot my aperture disks....

Thanks for the comments guys. It's something I just brought to the game on a whim and I thought I would share.

Cheers!

I didn't know Holga was making digital now.

:D

Lensbaby or just PP? But honestly, that blurring causes me physical pain in the forehead... :O

I pointed my camera at infinity...and it backfocused.
