Unhappy camper...

I took a few newborn pictures of this little boy. It was my first time shooting a 3 weeks old baby. I expected him to be sleeping most of the time....NOT the case. He was awake during the whole photo shoot.

I really liked this shot...he's not happy...but he is being himself.

LOVE the 1st.

The 1st one if my favorite too. He may not be happy, but I still love it. The 2nd one I like because he actually looked at the camera and that didn't happen too often being he was 3 weeks old.

Awesome shots and excellent setup! We found out not too long ago that my wife's pregnant with our first and I'm soaking up all the pregnant/newborn portrait styles I can. These shots are certainly something for me to strive for when I do get to take pictures of my own little one.

I did the same thing for several months leading up to my son's birth. I was going to try and get some really great shots. Ha Ha I was a first time dad, trying to master diaper changing, feedings and sleep management along with my wife. I snapped some cute pictures, but only candids....no studio stuff. Maybe next time. LOL

The first one was my favorite by far. It showed emotion, it was real! It was the only picture I really liked out of the whole set. But I have never shot a 2 week old before.

Very nice....lovely lighting.

The lighting was very simple, just a large soft box and a reflector.
