So I have this Photo of one of my dogs, Sam... i was trying out a new flash bouncer I made and he kept rolling around and wanting to play as I was laying on the floor which usually means play time.. well, he got close or i got too close any how... i blew this one out pretty badly..
Jpeg version of the original RAW.. ( i shoot raw + jpeg most times)
Now I love this shot i was using the siggie 10-20 and love how huge his legs and feet look.. lol so...
I ran the one RAW through Photomatix and got this after tone mapping the **** out of it.. lol
ok looking better but, now i have an ugly BG and alot of noise...
Ok, I saved the PM version (this one) and opened it in PS.. cropped it, curves, color, blacked out the bg and ran it through the noise ware in PS.. then used a very slight "Lusic Arts" filter on it to help with lost detail.. then i manually cleaned up some of the left over niose and stuff a small (tiny) amount of dodging and some localized blurring.. then i ran it through neat image once more to smoothe it out and.. this is the final outcome.
