ProPhoto version 2 has just been announced and will be available later today. Just figured I would help those in need/want to save a few bucks.

I will be honest though - I end up getting the $5 you save. It's a promotion Jared Henderson (the owner/creator) is running right now to help promote his software.

I stumbled across this not long ago and I really enjoy the features version 1 has. I don't have version 2 yet, but will as soon as it is officialy available. From the video, version 2 involves clicking to change the template. Much less code editing will be needed.

I'd totally upgrade...except according to what I'm reading its an additional $69 to upgrade to the new version - only $30 less than what I paid for v.1. If it were half the price of the original theme, then I'd consider it.

Hell, a Photoshop CS4 upgrade is only ~28% of the total cost of a new copy of CS4...

I think I'll stick to v.1 until there I can find more compelling reasons to upgrade.

Version 2 is worth every penny. I havent touched a piece of code yet for editing this new template.

I was a beta tester for version 2. It is MUCH more powerful than the first version. The original version is still good, but the new version is awesome.

The theme has a lot of customization that can be done without having to edit any code. To me, that is where the power lies. I really didn't have a whole lot of time to fully play with it, but I got my site up pretty quickly using this theme. It's worth every penny of it.
