Screwed up lens!!

Got my 85L back from Canon repair in CA. They fixed the focusing motor. But now it front focuses so much that I cant dial it in with the micro-adjustment. So now it has to go back for a macro-adjustment and Iam without a lens for another 2 weeks or so. It really is rediculous...

Pretty frustrating.

Long semi-pointless story warning obliquely related:
My 135L would misfocus at long distances but was right on up close. Part of testing it last winter had me shooting snow covered pine trees outside (cause I needed to shoot at 30+ meters). I used my 85L as the 'control'. One thing I learned was that the 85L can be a CA monster below f/2.8 when shooting something super contrasty like sun-lit snow on dark pine trees. It turned the snow purple, literally.

How bad was the CA on your 85L?
