Gear- Why do you care? If my image is good it's good, if it sucks it sucks. It's most likely my own fault.

And if I got a transmitter and two receivers, it would cost me around $200 with CyberSync and only around $160 with Radiopopper JrX. The way it looks to me, for the people who would use the features, these are the greatest thing since sliced bread. For me, I will probably buy them eventually, but it just wasn't the simple gizmo I was hoping for. I would have preferred not having the PCB compatible units made at all. However, I'm sure enough people have PCB units that it will be better for the company the way they did it. I should note that some of my remarks are tainted by the fact that I apparently got the only set of "poverty wizards" that actually work with 100% reliability. Oh yeah, I agree 100%. I wish they had stuck the original JR Popper and released butt-ugly no frills, no upgrade triggers like they originally intended. I love the ideas behind this incarnation, but I wish they would have brought out some $35-40 a unit triggers that could trigger a remote strobe 3 months ago instead of redesigning them. Derek

Not that what they are offering isn't nice, its just not what I wanted or needed if I'm understanding the options right. That said $60 isn't a deal killer, and the extra options might come in nice if I ever give up my portable flashes and get some AB's or WL's which is a distinct future possibility. $25 for a 'better ghettowizard' would have made me very happy though.

Dec 14, 2008 16:35 | #36 I wanted to get out of the Gadget Infinity stuff and pulled the trigger on the Cybersyncs. After reading this I'm happy that I did, for a two receiver kit I paid $200, it would be $160 for these. But mine will be here Monday. I would pull out all my leftover hair in three more months with the powerty wizards and especially the PC sync cables, man those drive me comletely nuts. Peter

Dec 15, 2008 10:39 | #38 ETTL is great for party pics and snapshot type stuff, or just when the conditions and distances are changing. If I am going to set up a strobe on a stand then I want complete control every shot. Gear- Why do you care? If my image is good it's good, if it sucks it sucks. It's most likely my own fault.

If that were to change of course upgrading to the ettl hardware is an option which is nice.

The jrx will do the same but the system can be expanded to do eTTL communication between flashes (nikon and canon hotshoue flashes). The other big difference is that that the CS is available ![]() The JRx will not have any ETTL capabilities and cannot be expanded to. Only the PRx units will do that. Derek
