The JRx will not have any ETTL capabilities and cannot be expanded to. Only the PRx units will do that.

so essentially the jrx and the cybersyncs are exactly the same? :P

Damm it!!!...I just bought a set of Cybersyncs, and now these come out!!

Why does this always happen to me!, ;)

They haven't "come out" yet! This is the big cloud of hot air before the actual release. I may still buy a set of Cybersyncs and then sell them when the new PW line arrives, there's that much time from now until the intended ship dates (for the JrX system I've been waiting on since before the first line was available). As to the original $25'ish projected price from early on... I'm fine without it. They've shown what they're up to and that is delivering a much better product than they thought they could when they started out. They never promised $25 anyway, they were hoping to be in that price range, but they said they would make it as affordable as possible in essence. The upgrades to their proposed new line definitely put this a notch above the competition besides being more affordable. It's still going to be worth the wait I believe.

IIRC the JrX will be upgradable via software update if and when you decide you want to step up. It's possible that I might not have that quite right, but that's how I think it was.

If they hurry perhaps they can beat the PWs new units that are supposed to have ETTL capability.

My Cybersyncs are in my bag and they work now. And they have worked for quite some time now.

I'm amazed at how easy it is to cause buyer's remorse with this stuff.

The Jrx units will be able to "upgrade" to control Alien Bee and White Lightening strobes from the transmitter.

The new Cybersyncs coming out soon (more than likely well before the Jrx's come out), will have this capability as well. The transmitter that will control the new Cybersyncs will be the $180 Cyber Commander.
