Got the camera, grip, 100mm, and 16-35mm today. Got the 85mm a couple weeks ago. BIG difference from my previous 300D!:D

Thanks guys! I got into photography when I was in grad school. I got a 300D when it first came out and loved it. Between graduating and starting up my business, I was too busy for hobbies. Now that my life is somewhat stable again, I've rediscovered it!

Now the challenge is living up to the quality of my gear!!! :)

Anyone got a pic of a 7D with a 16-35L on it? It might be my combo before long, wondering how it'll look :p

Covering the brand name, but leaving the giant red ring? Who cares if anyone knows you shoot Canon! Maybe if you shot nikon you'd cover the names..... :)

Just curious why you feel the need to cover up the camera info on the body?

It has a purpose;

We do it on all our gear for weddings/ special events, the corners and sides are covered to prevent scuffing and dings in the body

IMAGE: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d24/akkell85/1d485II.jpg
& when we shoot weddings we both wear black dress cloths as well; and the camera just looks like a non-descript box; guests can't tell when you are framing them up as easily, and when you're pointing it directly at people, they don't notice; it doesn't scream "CAMERA!" without the white accent letters and markings, and we tend to get more candid shots.

we're not ashamed of our gear; but it does help ward off constant questions like "what kind of camera is that?", " how many megapixeld you working with?" as its obvious we don't want to talk about it.
