^- That made me spit my drink all over the place

Love the ingenuity though...

How ya like your patinad 1d Mark II

:D

I love the MkII. I wish I had gotten one sooner. I do wish I could have gotten a MkIIn though for the bigger screen. That's one thing I miss from my 50D.

50D to 1D2? Thats an interesting upgrade path...Most people would say the 1D2's IQ isnt really better than the 50D and possibly worse o_O But i cant really speak from experience

I like the 1D2 better actually. I think the IQ is as good or better than the 50D. Definitely not worse. The noise at higher ISOs looks nicer as well. It's heavier, but the build quality is awesome. Plus, you can't beat the AF on the 1D bodies. And when I get a weather sealed lens, I can shoot in the rain if I want :D

Did the same 50d to 1D2 and never looked back. The IQ is better and this camera handles like a champ in a tank

I went from a 40d >1dMarkII> MarkIIn. Both the Mkii/Mkiin blow the 40d and 50d out of the water in regards to IQ.

I was cleaning some gear today so I snapped these pics. 43mpx combined together but somehow I decided to take this with my 1.3mpx camera phone.

Thank you!

It has a purpose;

We do it on all our gear for weddings/ special events, the corners and sides are covered to prevent scuffing and dings in the body

& when we shoot weddings we both wear black dress cloths as well; and the camera just looks like a non-descript box; guests can't tell when you are framing them up as easily, and when you're pointing it directly at people, they don't notice; it doesn't scream "CAMERA!" without the white accent letters and markings, and we tend to get more candid shots.

we're not ashamed of our gear; but it does help ward off constant questions like "what kind of camera is that?", " how many megapixeld you working with?" as its obvious we don't want to talk about it.

Ok smart guy. yes it's full of glass. But the whole lens casing is made of metal (brass I assume).

Regardless of the material. It's got some weight to it. ;)

I updated my rig today with a shiny new lens, i bought the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4,0L USM. The poor cellphone pic below also shows my relatively recently bought tripod which is a Manfrotto 055X PROB with a mounted 498RC2 ballhead ontop of it. Now there will be a loooong time until next hardware update will be done because all this good stuff gave me one very empty piggybank. :)

Sure thing Bob! It's the Domke Gripper pro strap. I've had a couple of them for years. I've got the green and brown one on my 5D and an all black one on my 7D.

I know you can buy the green and brown on B&H still, but I haven't seen the black one in years.

Hope that helps!
