Nice! I thought that's what it was. What did you shoot that with?? The bokeh is nuts! I'd have to guess either your 50L or that new 135 you bought ;)

It's the 135mm shot wide open.

I know, it has a UV filter on it as well

Well, it doesn't matter 'cause it's still a sexy pic.

Grats on the lens.

It's a really nice lens. I was stuck between it and the 85mm f/1.2L but went with the 135 since it costs a lot less and I really like the compression.

The 85 really performs well too, but is considerably more expensive.. f1.2 was the selling point for me, being able to do portraits in low light conditions was important

I dig that hotshoe bubble level, I have one but it's a rectangular shape and it's only on my camera for landscape stuff. where'd you get that one?

That's my debate as well actually! When I had my Zeiss primes I liked the 85, but found I still prefer 50mm. The 1.2 of the 85 is definitely appealing, but at nearly $1k more it sure does make the 135L sound appealing. Not to mention when I do portraiture I'm typically working with my 70-200 f/2.8L

24L / 50L / 135L might make an interesting prime combo though ;) I think I might be on to something hehe.

The 135mm 2L was my only lens for a long time and I have to say that I am very accustomed to this focal length and absolutely love the output on my 1Ds II RAW files. There is just something about it that is honestly magical.

Have a TS-E 90mm 2.8 coming in tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to tinkering with that lens. (Parallel conversion applied.)

I found I loved that set (had the sigma 50 instead) when I had my 5D. Actually, it works just as well on any format as long as 24 is still wide enough when cropped. I like to have my next lens be roughly 2x the lens before it so the jumps make sense. The other option is 35/85 IMHO, if you want to go with 2 lenses instead of three.

I'm currently doing 24 and 85 on crop though so 35 and 135 effective and I don't hate it.

lol cheers, just bought one.

I've got one of the more chunky ones which is handy because it had two bubbles, but I like that one because I will be able to leave it on and throw it in the camera bag.
