I used to have one on my 1D Mk II N which I bought from the net.

They aren't expensive, I also used it on my 5D classic and now on my 5D2.

Neck Strap L5 or L6.

^ Nice, it looks great on the 1D. I bought a battery grip in view of getting heavy lenses and I was hoping to receive it today today but the seller is being a pain; she's already told me twice it's been posted and I just don't believe her.

Thanks for the PM on strategyinformer btw :p

They're great straps! I've tried all kinds of different straps, and like these the best. They're standard on the 1D MKIII's + MKIV's - the number is L6.

I got them from this guy: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=870527

Just out of curiousity, have you tried any of the BlackRapid straps Tim?

I've been getting some second shooter gigs from a few local wedding photogs and they all use them. I ordered one the other day so I'll see if I like it.

Oh hey, I didn't know you were here.

Also, this lens is awesome on the 1D. I'll have to get a better picture of it. That one was just a quick snap after I got it out of the box.
