I needed a better camera for school and when my loan money arrives, I plan to purchase better lenses. Do you have suggestions on what lenses (besides L edition) to get for the 7D? I don't quite earn enough money yet for the higher end lenses.

With some great glass it can produce some amazing images. If you sold the 7D (and heck even the XT in favor of something more like a 30D or a 40D) you would have even more money for awesome glass.

So, I'm at a dilema here. I'll be buying myself a Speedlite 430EX II further on. I don't need the extra features of the 580EX II right now. Also, there's an EF 24-105 f/4 L IS USM on its way (gift from dad). I'm really keen on selling this 1000D and buying the 7D, for I think it will make the most of this lens. The Speedlite control feature also turns me on. And the weather sealing of both 24-105 and 7D... not that I'll be singing in the rain, but... just in case... What do you think? Please give me your input, for there's a lot of money in question! ![]() 50D | 1000D | 30V | 17-40L | 18-55 USM | 24-105L | 28 2.8 | 50 1.8 II | 70-300 IS | 580EX II | 430EX II

Don't worry Ma'am, We're university students, We know what We're doing.
