For those that were asking how big the D2000 is - its huge and heavy! But it also makes that beautiful solid noise that modern camera shutters dont have. :D

Agreed, the D700 is one of Nikon's oldest models right now...

Hopefully its upgrade is more impressive than just an s-type upgrade...

the lack of an upgrade for so long I think is totally depressing. I think it's way too long betweet versions for pro gear like that. No one wants to spend 2.5k on a model that old.

Macbook pro's are about to be updated, but I had to get a new one so I was irritated, however they have totally re-vamped the hard drives despite the fact that the outside design is the same, so buying one now is not like buying nearly the exact same thing as 2 years ago. I wish camera's did that a bit more, I know they tweak things a bit, but it tends to be pretty small changes they don't talk about.

Something new in concept from Canon! The new T3 and the new T3i are being simultaneously released and something else new -- the T3i has 18MP, but the T3 only 12! Anyone have more info on the thinking there?

I think they are splitting the consumer line into 2 parts... Pro-sumer and Not-So-Pro-sumer...

The T3i/600D is the upgrade from the T2i (obviously) and the T3/1100D is an upgrade from the XS/1000D...

So now we have 1D, XD, XXD, XXXD and XXXXD...

OK, that sounds right. To be honest I just haven't followed the Rebel line/lines.

The 60D I paid $500 for, this is just me playing with all my Canon flashes that I got in wireless to see how it works and I must say, it works well. This is almost straight from camera, just crop and some spot removal done.
