Taken with a Canon ELPH SD1100. Horrid. Never realized how crappy typical p&s's were, until I got a real camera. I PS'd the Hell out of this. I would have taken the shot with the T3 that I want to get rid of, but that would require taking it out of the box etc...

To be fair, this SD1100 is far superior to the SD100 that I paid $450 for back in 2001. And, I got it free from work to boot. So, won't complain too much.

Haha it's nothing much to wow about really. Just the basic in all departments (Viewfinder, Recorder, Microphone, Follow Focus, Baseplate, Video head).

Nothing basic about the 5D2 + 35L combo! ;)

Just got home from a failed shoot thanks to the weather. This is a common sight in my hands. If not the 100-400L, it's the 15-85, 10-22 or the 50 1.8. I'll get around to taking a shot of both my cameras (7D and backup XSi) with the lenses. Too lazy right now.

Taken with the XSi. just threw a 430EXII on top to fill; didn't care too much what it looked like. SOOC, resized.

I'm not even going to criticize your laziness in pp, on this shot. I just want to drool all over that lens...

Sorry, some of us have to decide between getting a better version of a lens I never used to use (I'm a wide zooms rather than a medium prime kinda person) or food in our bellies...

Although lately I've been using the Nifty Fifty quite a bit, so I think it's time to replace it with something a little more respectable haha

I was kidding of course. ;) Although, the 1D III shines with nice L glass. :)

Haha, it is an awesome lens. She gets heavy after a while though. To be perfectly honest I'm not a huge fan of the push/pull zoom, but I presume if Canon hadn't designed it this way the lens would a) be much bigger, b) be much heavier, and c) be much more expensive than the current MRSP of ~$1,600.

I wouldn't mind lugging it around, to be honest. Just knowing I could get a good candid shot from 100 or so meters would be incentive enough for me haha.

I've never studied optics, but I'm pretty sure that the lens can't be made much smaller yet. If that technology existed (not sure it ever will since they rely on big giant pieces of magnifying glass?). I'm sure the wide aperture has a lot to do with that. Not sure the physics of it will ever change.

/looks around for ~$1600 laying around... ;)

It is... Sadly, because I'll probably never be close enough to one to actually drool on it hahahaha!

Had a tidy up yesterday so thought I'd grab a pic with my iPhone (dim light) but couldn't include the 24-70L as it only came back today and I forgot to add my old eos 5. Couldn't be bothered to include any accessories. I think I have too much gear

I agree. You have too much gear. I'll take the first row of lenses and the last two slr's in the back of the left column.

Thanks, in advance.

And I am more that happy to help you out by taking the back row of lenses LOL

Well... I've tested a 100-400L on my 50D. Does that count? :p
