Well... I've tested a 100-400L on my 50D. Does that count? :p

You and I, sir, are the reason for the existence of lens rental shops!

I was kidding of course. ;) Although, the 1D III shines with nice L glass. :)

Haha for sure, definitely knew you were kidding :) Yeah, the 1D3 is an excellent camera, that's why paired with the 16-35L II it's the perfect travel setup for me...I didn't think I liked primes, but had the 50 around because it's a cheap way to have a fast lens in case I need one...but been finding myself shooting a lot with it, so I think it's time to get a decent prime...

I'd go with the 35 L to get an approximate FOV of 50mm. :)

I'm borrowing that lens from a buddy to use during my helicopter flight tomorrow afternoon.

A friend gave me this yesterday, when I have some time I am going to load it with some 120 film and see if it still works. Looks neat though.

What's a bass? Nothing but a one-octave-lower guitar. ;)
So... that all comes back to "cameras and guitars"! ;)

SweeT!

Nothing basic about the 5D2 + 35L combo! ;)

Oh, good point, that is true. Was talking about those accessories though :)

With the NEX-3 being discontinued the prices have really gone down, so I decided to treat myself to this for £200 (body and EOS adapter).

I haven't even turned this thing on yet (battery's charging) but I'm already loving it, so small and light compared to my 20D (that whole setup above probably weighs less than the 20D without a lens) and I'm really looking forward to video and live view (two things I really missed coming from a point and shoot to a DSLR).

how do you like that videomic pro? I have the Canon SV 5.1 mic of my HFS200 camcorder, but I was considering that one.
