That's right
Now I feel that I am crazy, because I spent all this money to learn photography from a big camera like 5D Mark II
I think that I am, I will sell this camera and I go back to use a small compact camera to learn photography from A to Z
and i will need only to shoot my family photos not like a pro photographer

Don't worry, photography is job for many people.
But also it's just fun for many people (including my self), too.

5D2 is very nice camera, learn and make you self better.

I'm not saying you should start with a **** camera, I'm saying you shouldn't start with a pro level one.

With all the gear you had, I suppose you have money to get in a workshop, although it is expensive but for me it's the fastest way to learn. But nowadays Internet has a lot tips and tricks too.

Right... Even the 60D is an advanced place to start... Wonder how long he used it before he decided it was too small... a battery grip would have been a better investment than a 5DII...

My god, I just read through some of his posts and you're right, he even bought a load of EF-S lenses to go with the 60D. His son must love him, although if I was him I'd be a bit embarrassed that my dad was one of those "all the gear, no idea" sort of people.

My god, you are rude. If he has the money to spend on nice gear, who the hell are you to tell him he can't? It won't make him a better photographer, but it's his money to do what he will with.

I never said can't, I said shouldn't. Sure he can do whatever the hell he wants, he can buy a H4D if he really wants, it won't make him less of an idiot.

Okay, boys and gulls. Play nice or don't play.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

If you can afford it why not? I had no idea about photography (still to this day ) and got a 7d it's no 5dII but most the stuff is the same. It really dosnt matter what gear you have as long as you are going to take the time an learn it.

Because you don't know if you'll stick with photography, it's a huge investment to get started in hobby. Like I said if he wants to potentially waste all that money then so be it, that doesn't stop it from being a stupid purchase. I'm not the only one thinking this either, I'm just being picked out for being blunt about it.
