i wouldn't call it a "back up" you might as well have bought a 5Dc for that. but just another main body that works differently than a 7d

Thanks and yeap, i guess most other people would have had their 5D2 as their main camera but not me. I like my 7D so much i prefer to use it as my main workhorse and so far it never let me down. The 5D2 is good but it's lousy AF system makes it only work as a backup and secondary camera during events. When i got portraits in poor lightingconditions i shoot them with the 5D2 as it deals with ISO noise well and it renders sharp images. :)

wow i cant believe you actually call the 5dmk2 a backup... that like hurts my soul.

I use a {3+2}D Mark [10-8] and a (23-16)D and a Nikon D(75+75)x2s and a Nikon D(38+2)x

Hehe :D maybe i'm the biggest idiot on this side of the galaxy to use my 7D as the primary camera but i don't care. Someone has to rub against the grain, not everyone can be a fullframe fanboy. :)

Full Frame Fanboy? sounds to me like you enjoy the camera to do everything for you - the 7D and the 5D are worlds apart on quality and overall feel of photographs. I was very excited about my 7D when i got it too - but that excitement died quickly lol

Wouldn't you want a camera with the same crop/full frame sensor as your main body? Or am I missing the point of FF backing up a Crop camera?

Yes, he probably does enjoy a camera that "does everything" for him. Nice 5D you've got there. But it's nowhere near the same league as my Holga, the 5D's automatic features make it such an amateur camera. Believe me - your 5D is light-years behind my Holga in quality and overall feel of the photograph.

Silly argument is silly :p.
