Whys that? Doesnt it get in the way of using the lens?

I haven't found them disturbing. And the weight difference is so small too compared to the weight of the rest of the gear.

Right now I am sweating in my office because our A/C stinks and something weird happened with our firewall/domain controller because people just lost connectivity

But what's said is that my car hobby makes my camera hobby look affordable lol

Oh man I want to sit in that chair right now and drink something cold

Smart man! I looked at fancy trays to fit onto a tripod, laptop holders, etc... but then I figured it out - the secret to shooting tethered in the field is to have something that's fairly sturdy, but light enough to trek with, that folds up, and will fit the laptop on - and finally, the most important part: Somewhere to sit your big ol' ass, when you get tired!

I found a small collapsible camping table (it's really just the bottom portion only, of one of those foldable camp chairs) and it works great. my only gripe is that it's low to the ground (about 1.5 ft.) but that contributes to how light it is, how small it folds and how well it resists winds.

Got it for $12 - use the crap out of it!
