to be completely honest I had no idea how different a xxD body would be from a rebel, it is night and day. in retrospect I have no idea how I lasted almost 2 years with the rebel with the amount I shoot!

Completely agree with you. I've had a Rebel XT for a couple of years before I got 50D. This past weekend I've had an opportunity to use Rebel T3i and while I like the photos rebel controls drove me crazy. Same here. I had a rebel for a couple of months them i played around with a 7D. I have been hooked ever since. The controls are genius on my 50D. LIGHT>LENS>BODY
