I picked up 10 rolls of Kodak 400TX B&W from B&H when I got the camera. My professor suggested it, and I don't really know anything about film, so I went with it. Any recommendations for when I need more? I'll also want color for shooting outside of class as well.
Also, I absolutely love the grip on this camera. It feels much better when I'm shooting. The grip for my 50D definitely moved to the top of my list of things to get.
What film you use depends allot on what you are shooting if you are shooting portraits I would highly recommend ilford delta it has very smooth tonal gradations. The only thing you don't want to shoot through an A2 is infrared as that camera uses an infrared film counter and will cause fogging to the image. Other than that it is a great camera. Learning to shoot with film I think will greatly improve your photography as you will really learn to control your exposures and how to properly meter complex scenes especially with slide film as there is no correcting it later you either get it right in the camera or not at all.
