Here's a pic of my Elan 7E with 20mm f/2.8 USM. I don't have one of the XS, so this will have to do. LOL

I still use it occasionally, but it was taken with my Rebel XS...that counts doesn't it? LOL

BTW...I LOVE the eye control. Never understood why that didn't become standard feature on cameras

Neither have I. I'd kill for a 1DX with ECF!!!

You have seen Julian's title?! "helpin' a brother swing the other way"

Well, to me it looks like Julian is swinging like a pendulum in an old clock...:lol::lol:

I should've seen that . Good analogy though :lol:!

Yeah, except you're switching to the dark side :p

How am I switching? I'm keeping my Canon gear. ;)

It's a great camera. If they made a digital version, I would pay just about any price. Even with the kit lens I got mine with (28-90 USM) it takes amazing photos. It's a shame I didn't use it more before going digital(sat on a shelf for years), so I pick it up and give it some love every now and then. Been shooting an abandoned building series with it recently, and I can't wait to finish the roll and see the results! :D

That's it! The emotion of waiting to finish the roll and develop the photos. :)

I got me a body only. Got "too much" (one can never have too much) L glass. :)
Still with my first roll in it... shot a few pictures with the 17-40L and the nif-fif. Must go out some more with the other lenses. :)

So far, I'm loving it to death! ;)

I see you have a 1000D too (XS). I feel that the focus (minus the ECF) and the meter is very similar to the 30V (ELAN 7).

I bought the XS because I wasn't sure if I would like the transition to digital. So far, I really enjoy it, and am very pleased with the way the camera performs with decent glass on it. Eventually I will upgrade, but for now it is working just fine for me. :)

I also own a 50D. To be honest, sometimes I feel the 1000D delivers better results! ;)
