correct ;) its a perfect fit for 1D4 ;)

Amen! I love my 1D3 + 16-35L II combo. It's great on the 5D as well, but with the 1D I never had to worry about vignetting, whereas that rears its ugly head in a lot of my shots on the 5D.

Stupid instagramy type pic, but I'm excited about my new lens :D

Another good combo...had that on my 1D3 as well...I wanted something faster so I switched to the 16-35L, but the 17-40 is a very capable lens and feels right at home on a 1D :)

Then just crop visually directly in the viewfinder so you only use the center part of the 5D sensor. No more ugly heads rearing.

Nah, I'd rather correct vignetting in PP. Most of the time it's not that big of a deal, and sometimes it even adds to the feel of a picture. Plus, part of the reason I went FF is for my 16-35 to act as a true 16mm...cropping it down to a 1.3x equivalent would be rather pointless ;) (not to mention, a lot of the times I'd end up cutting stuff off)...but, sometimes vignetting I think adds to the "feel" of the picture...like this one (cropping would have murdered this shot, I think haha)

Yeah, that's to be expected of a UWA, though :) It's still better than my old setups (Sigma 10-20 and Tokina 11-16 on 1.6x croppers)...I don't mind it too much :)

Just a quick one of my 1DSmkIII, I was playing around with a couple of 580EX's (master & slave) so used my other camera as a test subject.

AWESOME shots of the EOS 5, 5D and the 5D2.

Just a question though - I believe that the EOS 5 and the 5D aren't necessarily related to each other, right?
