Hey you all.....I'm considering adding a full frame to the bag.....now that 1DS ( the old 11 m/pix one ) have dropped to the sub $1500 range....I'm thinking pretty hard on one of them. Looking back on some of the old tests though, there seems to be a pretty good concensous that a 1D classic delivers pretty much the same quality, although it's not a full frame. I'm thinking I'd like to make my 17-40 a 'real' 17-40.

Anyway.....do any of you still use one or both ( 1D classic and/or 1DS ), and have any thoughts on whether they stand the test of time?

I rarely print above 8 x 10....although, I think I might like to start playing with maybe 16 x 20 or so.

I have my "action" and "low light" situations covered with my 20D and 50D.

Thoughts ???

Thanks, George W
