Just picked up an iPod touch, and was wondering if anyone out there is using mobile me. Thoughts?

I was thinking about it as I just got an iPhone. Not sure if you need to me a "member" of iMac though and as I'm not, I didn't bother with it.

I use MobileMe and have for several years (from when it was .Mac). I like it because it works well with my iMac, though I don't know how it integrates with the Touch since I don't have one. I just switched to iWeb from Blog.Mac for my personal homepage and am still setting it up. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a web-service. There is cheaper stuff out there, but none that integrate as well with Apple products.

I use it, but then again I have an iPhone, an iMac and an air. I need it to sync the contact / calendars. Otherwise, it would require me to manually go and sync each device. Mobile me subscriptions can be obtained from ebay for $50. If you don't mind the hassle you can just keep creating new accounts every 30 days and it will be free.

I use mobileme's gallery for my fashion photo, but I also have a flickr and my own web hosting.

If you have a mac computer and an iPhone/iPod touch and you use the address book and calendar programs of your mac, then MobileMe is a great feature.

Likewise, if you have two macs that you want to keep sync'ed, it's a great feature. My favorite is the "back to my mac" feature, allowing you to seamlessly remote into your other mac.

Back to my back is awesome, aside from the fact that you can't wake a computer up from sleep. Another problem I have with back to my mac is that I can't use it on my work network, I end up using a combination of VNC + Screen Sharing to access my mac.
