No ornaments yet, that is a family event and we all need to get together. However, gave me practice of just the lights, please C&C!! I will post a second once it is actually done.

Also -- I killed it compressing it, maybe I should host files elsewhere?

Here is my Christmas tree. First time decorating a Christmas tree (I'm not Christian), this was at my girlfriend's parent's place. Hence my first time taking pictures of a Christmas tree =). It was lots of fun and I really like the picture. I need to take a nicer pic on Christmas eve after removing truant laptop bags and other eyesores from the vicinity of the tree! I'd very much appreciate any C&C or suggestions for improving this shot. Pic was taken with all lights turned off, only illumination in the room is from the lights on the Christmas tree.

On a side note, this shot taught me the importance of spending money on a good tripod. I had been playing around with the family tripod (a cheap 20$ tripod) and was fairly happy with my day shots. However when I tried taking this shot, I kept getting horrible camera shake (inspite of using a shutter delay and mirror lockup). Finally had to place the camera on the dining table to get this shot.

Well it's not 'my' tree but here's the one in Martin Place in Sydney.

I only had a Gorillapod so I had to hold the camera as stable as possible in portrait while I took my exposures for this HDR image (hence some movement).
Total of 16 exp, 24-105 L, 20D.

;)
